# Connect the MCP

Typemark is a remote MCP server. Its URL is:

`https://app.typemark.ai/mcp`

You sign in with your browser the first time you connect, so there is no key to copy or paste. The sign-in page asks you to allow the connection once. Access is by invitation for now; sign in with the address that was invited.

## Claude

Add Typemark as a custom connector in Claude, with the URL above. Claude's own help page has the current steps: [Getting started with custom connectors using remote MCP](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11175166-getting-started-with-custom-connectors-using-remote-mcp).

## Claude Code

Run this in your terminal, with the URL above in place of `<url>`:

```sh
claude mcp add --transport http typemark <url>
```

Then start Claude Code, type `/mcp`, choose Typemark and sign in when your browser opens. See Claude Code's [MCP documentation](https://code.claude.com/docs/en/mcp) for more.

## Other MCP clients

Any client that connects to a remote MCP server by URL can use Typemark. Give it the URL above and follow its sign-in prompt. Check your client's documentation for where the URL goes, since the steps differ between clients.

## Check that it works

Ask your assistant a question like "Where should I get a burrito for lunch in the Mission?". If it answers with places and creators' quotes, you're connected. [Example questions](/docs/example-questions/) has more.
