# Install the extension

The extension (it appears in Chrome as Web Capture) captures the page you're on, and you can add a note to each capture.

> **Download link coming**
>
> The extension isn't in the Chrome Web Store yet, and there is no public download. For now you load it unpacked from a folder we provide. The link to that folder is coming; these steps are for when you have it. Access is by invitation.

## Install

1. **Get the folder**

Download the extension folder and unzip it somewhere you'll keep it. Chrome reads it from there, so don't delete it afterwards.
2. **Open the extensions page**

In Chrome, go to `chrome://extensions` and turn on **Developer mode** (top right).
3. **Load it**

Click **Load unpacked** and choose the folder.
4. **Pin it**

Open the puzzle-piece menu in Chrome's toolbar and pin **Web Capture**, so the button is always in reach.

The extension doesn't know Typemark's address yet, so open its settings and set **Server URL** to:

Then sign in from the extension. The sign-in opens in your browser, so there is no key to paste. The first time, you're asked to allow the extension once. Access is by invitation; sign in with the address that was invited.

You can disconnect the extension at any time from the connected apps section of your account page.
